Centrica Lincs Offshore Windfarm
The Norfolk Swift has completed a 16 week contract providing crew transfer logistical support for Centrica during the construction phase of the Lincs Offshore Wind farm. Operations saw full utilisation of the newly extended wheelhouse with the vessel making the 40 mile round trip from Grimsby Fish dock to the construction site, carrying a full complement of 12 passengers.
On completion of the contract in mid-September, the vessel made the short journey down the coast to Lowestoft, where she is currently working as a crew boat for the tyre mattress trial installation works being carried out by Norfolk Marine and Scour Prevention Systems on E.ON's Scroby Sand Offshore Wind farm.
This completes a busy summer season for the vessel which, prior to mobilising to Grimsby, worked briefly in Belgian waters on the Thornton Bank Wind Farm for DEME carrying out crew transfers to the dredging vessel Pompei as it carried out subsea cable operations.
