Port of Lome Scour Protection System

Norfolk Marine Ltd have been awarded the contract to supply and install a fabric formworks cast in-situ concrete mattress system to provide scour protection to the new container berth under construction in the Port of Lome in Togo.

The contract awarded by SOGEA SATOM, part of the VINCI Construction group, includes design assistance and development of installation methodology. Two of Norfolk Marine Ltd’s highly experienced dive teams will travel to site in early September 2013 to begin the works. They will be backed up by the company’s containerised recompression chamber already on site for the divers installing the Cathodic Protection System to the new combi pile wall, a contract previously awarded to Norfolk Marine.
