Contract Award: Arklow Viaduct

Norfolk Marine Ltd have been awarded the contract by Wicklow County Council to specify, design, supply, and install a structural underpinning and scour protection system for the 19 arch Arklow viaduct. The works will be carried out using the company’s fabric formwork system with the formwork being tailor made to fit the scour holes detailed in the underwater structural survey.

The award follows on our successful underpinning of White bridge in the Avoca River for the county council following its severe undermining by exceptionally powerful flood waters in 2010.
